چکیده
Objective: Perturbation exercises conducted on mobile surfaces in the latter period of rehabilitation increase neuromuscular control. The purpose study was to investigate effects single session perturbation exercises’ active joint position sense and electromyography activation trapezius muscle patients who underwent arthroscopic rotator cuff repair previous 6 months.
Method: 12 individuals were included as group (age: 54.83±3.5), 13 with an asymptomatic shoulder control 49.07±4.5). All subjects evaluated before after single-session exercise. Active at 90° flexion abduction assessed using a laser pointer-assisted angle reproduction test. muscles during this test recorded by superficial tool. pre-exercise post-exercise values analyzed in-group Wilcoxon signed-rank Mann–Whitney U used for comparisons.
Results: There no difference between groups exercise (flexion p:0.124; p:0.421). When activations compared, operated upper (p:0.01) non-operated lower decreased (p:0.024). correlation p:0.657; p:0.662).

Arthroscopic repair of complete tear of rotator cuff
Abstract Background: Rotator cuff tear is one of the most common causes of shoulder complaints in the elderly. Based on the severity and patient's condition, a variety of methods applies to manage the tear and surgery is an important method, which could be done by open or arthroscopic technique. The current study aimed to investigate and report short-term results of arthroscopic repair of...
متن کاملExercises focusing on rotator cuff and scapular muscles do not improve shoulder joint position sense in healthy subjects.
Proprioception is essential for shoulder neuromuscular control and shoulder stability. Exercise of the rotator cuff and scapulothoracic muscles is an important part of shoulder rehabilitation. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of rotator cuff and scapulothoracic muscle exercises on shoulder joint position sense. Thirty-six healthy subjects were recruited and randomly assig...

BACKGROUND In wheelchair-dependent individuals, pain often develops because of rotator cuff tendon failure and/or osteoarthritis of the glenohumeral joint. The purposes of this study were to investigate (1) specific rotator cuff tear patterns, (2) structural healing, and (3) clinical outcomes after arthroscopic rotator cuff repair in a cohort of wheelchair-dependent patients. METHODS Forty-si...
متن کاملArthroscopic rotator cuff repair.
Arthroscopic rotator cuff repair is being performed by an increasing number of orthopaedic surgeons. The principles, techniques, and instrumentation have evolved to the extent that all patterns and sizes of rotator cuff tear, including massive tears, can now be repaired arthroscopically. Achieving a biomechanically stable construct is critical to biologic healing. The ideal repair construct mus...
متن کاملThe effects of muscle fatigue on shoulder joint position sense.
Proprioception, or joint position sense, probably plays an important role in shoulder joint function. In this study, we assessed the effect of muscle fatigue on shoulder proprioception in 20 volunteers with no shoulder abnormalities. Shoulder proprioception was measured as the threshold to first detection of humeral rotation with the joint at 90 degrees of abduction and 90 degrees of external r...
